Now, enter your competitor's domain into the Site Explorer for an overview of their website's performance and backlink profile.
1. Navigate to the Organic Search tab to see the competitor's Organic search traffic and Top organic keywords.
- This information can help you understand which keywords are driving the most traffic to your competitors.
2. Go to the Backlinks tab to explore the backlink profile of your competitor's website.
- This will show you which websites are linking to them, the anchor text used, and the authority of those linking domains.
3. Navigate to the Top Pages tab to discover which pages on their website are driving the most traffic.
4. Use the Content Gap to identify keywords that your competitors are ranking for but you're not.
- This will help you uncover opportunities to create content around topics that are relevant to your audience but you haven't covered yet.
5. Set up a Rank Tracker for your competitor's domain to monitor their keyword rankings over time.
- This will allow you to track their progress and identify any new keywords they are targeting.
6. Site Explorer's "Paid Search" tab provides insights into their top paid keywords, ad copy, and landing pages.
